Manufactured Homes in Warren, Indiana: Choosing the Bathrooms

Warren is a small town in southern Huntington County, just off I-69. Buyers who come up to Auburn from here tend to spend most of their visit in two rooms: the kitchen and the bathrooms. Our Nappanee post covers kitchens. This one is about the bathrooms of a manufactured home, and the choices that are easy now and hard later.
How many bathrooms, and where
Most multi-section homes have two full bathrooms, and many single-section homes do too. The question is where the second one sits. In a split-bedroom plan it usually serves the far bedrooms and doubles as the guest bath. Check whether a visitor can reach it without walking through a bedroom.
Tub or shower in the primary bath
- Walk-in shower. Easier to step into, and easier to use as you get older. Our Pleasant Lake post covers single-level living.
- Garden tub with separate shower. More space, and more to clean.
- Tub and shower combination. The practical choice where small children will be bathed.
Which one a plan offers depends on the plan and the series, and some offer it as an option. It is far easier to choose it at order than to rebuild a bathroom later. Our Shipshewana post covers which options to decide at order.
Sinks, storage and light
- Two sinks help most where two people get ready at the same time.
- Look for a linen closet in or near each bathroom. Our Middlebury post covers storage.
- A window brings in light and helps ventilation. Every bathroom should still have an exhaust fan, and it should be used.
Laundry nearby
Some plans put the laundry next to the primary bath, which saves carrying clothes across the house. Others put it by the back door, which is handy for muddy work clothes. Pick the one that fits how your household lives.
Common questions
Can I add grab bars later?
Yes, but they need solid backing in the wall. Ask at order whether the plan or an option provides it.
Do the photos show standard fixtures?
Not always. Photos and renderings can show optional features not included in the base home, so check the plan’s standard features list.
